EDC’s Cornelia Brunner says there is no one single answer to “what’s the right age to give kids a cellphone?”

On The Leonard Lopate Show, EDC’s Shelley Pasnik answers questions from the host and call-in audience about the benefits and drawbacks of children using technology.
“The arts are a tool for educating, a means of community development,” says Emily Morris, who combines her background in dance and theater with her work in international development and education.
A new report by EDC for the Nellie Mae Education Foundation identifies effective ways that technology may be used to personalize a student’s learning experience. The report, Integrating Technology with Student-Centered Learning, examines the integration of computer- and web-based tools, applications, and games, as well as video and technology associated with mechanical and electrical engineering.
Supporting afterschool professionals, EDC program provides hands-on activities in areas where classroom teachers do not have the time, resources, or training.
